MINNEAPOLIS, November 22nd, 2005 – Macalester-Groveland resident Mary (Muffie) Gabler has been elected chairman of the board of directors for the Nonprofits Assistance Fund. She began a two-year term on November 2. Gabler has served on the board since May 2001, most recently as treasurer-secretary.
Gabler is vice president, Community Development and Specialized Lending, for Wells Fargo’s
Nonprofits Assistance Fund, formerly Community Loan Technologies, was incorporated in 1998 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) to serve as an umbrella to house the Minnesota Nonprofits Assistance Fund (MNAF) and several specialized funds. Nonprofits Assistance Fund was certified as a Community Development Financial Institution by the U.S. Department of the Treasury CDFI Fund in 2001 and is currently home to MNAF, the Minnesota Primary Care Loan Fund and the Working Capital Fund. Nonprofits Assistance Fund name change occurred in 2005.
