Welcome to Banking on Nonprofits, a newsletter from Nonprofits Assistance Fund to provide the finance industry with useful news and information on nonprofit financial management.

I want to welcome you to our first edition of Banking on Nonprofits. Nonprofits Assistance Fund developed this newsletter to serve as a useful source of information on nonprofit financial management specifically for the banking industry. You are probably well aware of the unique challenges that face nonprofit organizations. You also know how important the health of nonprofits is to the communities you serve. A few times throughout the year, we will provide you with information to help nonprofits with financial management assistance. Nonprofits Assistance Fund is a nonprofit community development organization that fosters community development and vitality by building financially healthy nonprofits. Nonprofits Assistance Fund provides financing for working capital, cash flow, equipment and facilities projects with a focus on strengthening the operation and mission of nonprofits. We also offer financial management workshops and advice that improve nonprofits' capacity to carry out their mission.

When Family Focus, a nonprofit created to improve foster care services for at-risk youth, began, their banker provided them with a line of credit to help cover costs while they were waiting for government payments. As Family Focus grew, their banker knew that Nonprofits Assistance Fund would be able to provide them with the additional financial support they needed.
