NONPROFITS COUNT

January 2007

All of us at Nonprofits Assistance Fund hope that your holidays were full of food, fun, and family. We have a few gifts to get your new year started. The first is our new Board Training Workshop, Financial Clarity for Nonprofit Boards. For the golf addicts who are already counting down to the first thaw we offer a story about Putting Green. Finally, give yourself the gift of knowledge by signing up for one of our 2007 workshops.

Happy New Year from Nonprofits Assistance Fund!

Have you ever looked at our workshops and thought "This would be great for my board"? We now offer a specialized workshop for your board using your financial reports as training materials. Financial Clarity for Nonprofit Boards is a workshop tailored for your board.
This interactive, hands-on, guided tour of your financials includes:

  • Discussing your needs with your Executive Director and Treasurer before the training session.
  • A complete review of your financials.
  • A 1-Hour training with entire board as part of a regular board meeting.
  • Your financial reports, not an anonymous case study, are used to train the board.
  • Materials and guides to help your board beyond the training.
  • Follow ups with your Executive Director after the training is complete.

Profile of Success - Putting Green

In 1997, the imaginative mind of an eight year-old boy inspired his mother, Laurel Gamm, to develop an environmentally themed adventure park. The New Ulm, MN park, Putting Green, would combine fun family activities with messages about caring for our environment. To get the project off the ground, Gamm turned to Nonprofits Assistance Fund for financial assistance.
